Welcome aboard Byron! There are Lots of good traders here that have worked hard to learn this stuff, but also a lot of people like yourself that want to learn to read a price chart and become a profitable trader. Stay the course, stay dedicated, but most of all…. work hard and be patient, as this takes time. 🙂

Our group broker discount is not with NT. NT forces all new traders to use their brokerage now, and I prefer to have options, so while we still use the NT software with our broker, any new traders won’t have that option. So no, our group brokerage is not NT. If you are a member of our group and qualify for our group rates and are interested in them, just drop me an email and I will forward you the information.

You could safely trade 100 contracts without much worry during regular trading hours in the ES. That is why most professional traders trade this market, as the volume is extremely large and there is relatively zero slippage. The runners are more of a personality thing, and that is why I don’t talk as much about the exits of swing trades. I hate to see prices back up and erase a nice profit, so I exit and look for new entries. Others might not like being in and out a lot, so they prefer to hold onto trades longer. Where you find comfort is where you find more success, so exits will be somewhat personal for that reason.

Those are some of the prime hours, so those hours are not an issue. What will be an issue is your learning curve. Most fail at this because they have unrealistic expectations. You are basically learning a new language. Assuming you do can not understand the Russian language, how quickly do you think you could learn enough to walk into a room full of Russian speaking people and understand and clearly communicate with all of them. How quickly could you learn to carry on a conversation with a small group, while also eaves dropping on the group talking next to you and clearly understanding what is going on in both groups?
How fast you are willing to learn a difficult new language and how much time you can study and immerse yourself in the language and practice is the key. Trading is no different, as you are learning the language of the chart. Learning this language is the only way to success, this much I can tell you with certainly. How long that takes I can not say, because if it different for everyone. Most think it is easy and a by reading a book or manual along with a few days or weeks practicing and they will be making money. If anyone tells you that, run fast, as they are just trying to sell you something. There is no magical set up, indicator or software that will make you rich at trading, or even make you a living. The ability to read the chart and understand what prices are doing is the key, and that is like learning a non native language and becoming fluent in it, both speaking and hearing it.

That is a scam, as it is not our materials.
