This is another live trade sent to me by Juan. I went through and narrated it explaining the trade in more details so that everyone can understand what is transpiring with this trade. This was an excellent chart read and was one of the shorts I marked on yesterday’s chart lesson (08-17-2020).
This was a failed second entry long that set up a nice short. There is no runner, as prices came back and stopped out Juan’s runner at breakeven plus 1 tick, so he still makes a single tick on the final runner. You can still make a profit on a single tick in the ES and this is one of the reasons I like trading the ES.
The ES is one of the few markets where you can actually scalp a single tick and still make a profit after paying your commissions. The profit to cost ratio is better in the ES than most any other market. When you combine that fact with very little slippage, this is why most professionals trade this market.
Thanks to Juan for sharing another great trade. He seems to have the failures down rather well. Hopefully you can learn something from this trade example.

Failed second entry occurs because price couldn’t broke 2 ticks above the green signal bar’s high? If so, under what other circumstances will failed entries happen?
