Nice trade Eric! How did you execute that Buy Limit Order? Are you using hot keys or a special indicator?
Thanks.

tyrima,
Thank you. I use the ATM One-Click Trader (posted link in the forum chart setup section). I suppose it is possible to use hot keys as well, and there may be other options. For me, the standard right click and order selection method wasn’t as quick as I needed to be and I wanted to minimize any error in order placement.

Hi Eric, when using NT8 is there a minimum order distance when placing trades as I saw you submitted the order very close to the price and it came back to fill the order. New to NT8 and using brokers. Currently run an account that incurs a spread rather than a commission.

As an aside, if you are using a spread, then that changes the way you enter. You are trading against professionals, so you need professional tools and spread betting is not the way to go. You will have to account for the spread for your entry and exit and that will totally change the dynamics of many of your entries. Normally brokers offering spread betting are 5 to 10 times higher in costs than a good US Futures broker commission, so it’s much more difficult to make money.

After comparing them side by side I totally agree, on top of that the added nightmare of accommodating for the spread in the minimal scalp move is hazardous at best. Even with a Free Micro account and associated turn around costs a 4 tick scalp is far more cost effective.

Rouven82,
It was submitted as a limit order at the high of the previous bar, after allowing prices to break higher first (meaning the stop order entry would have been triggered).

Beautiful 2EL with a limit order! That’s sticking the landing right there! I’m gonna have to see about that one-click ATM. My limit order entries are awkward as heck with the right-click dance. I’ve missed some good scalps because of that.
