Another News Guard Coming Soon!

UPDATE: I have been doing some research on why our news data is not always loading as expected. I have found that the indicator is not the issue. The problem is the site where the data is being pulled from, so the issue is with the data provider.

The data comes from Forex Factory, and they are limiting the number of times you can request data within a few minutes time span. If your news does not load up with your chart when opening up NT each morning, wait about 5 minutes and then right click on your NT chart and then click on “Reload NinjaScript” and that will load the data. If it still doesn’t load after that, maybe wait another 15 minutes and try again. Usually if my data wasn’t loading, I would just wait the necessary 5 mins and then reload my NinjaScript, and the data would load properly then.

Recapping this issue. If your news guard doesn’t load upon startup, wait about 5 minutes and try reloading your NinjaScript. That was working for me on the old news guard, but we thought it was the indicator, so we started using a new one, only to find it is doing the same thing. That prompted me to look further into this issue and the above information was my finding.

I actually created a new NEWs GUARD that I will test next week. I’m sure it will work the same way, and will very likely need to be reloaded about 5 mins after opening your NT charts, but it will be setup using our preferences and such, so look for that to come soon if testing goes well.
