Some Exciting News Regarding the PATs Website

I wanted to give everyone a heads up that we will be moving the website to a new and improved server in the very near future. In order to prepare for that, we are doing a lot of clean up that is well past due. As an example, we had over 10 years of the Mid-Day Chart Reports just sitting there and serving very little purpose. I decided to delete them all except for the past 2 years and I will probably continue to delete anything over 2 years old going forward. I might even whittle that down to one year, we will see.

Just know that we are doing some clean up and maintenance, so if you find a missing image or a missing or non-working link to anything, please forward me that link so I can look into it. So far, we are not seeing any problems, but until you click on every single link, you will never know for certain, so our users will be our best notification. Please let me know if you find anything not working properly.

With the move is going to come some additional changes as well.

Probably a new theme and look.
Better organization and use of the premium video lessons.
Just an easier to use website, as I think some people miss a lot of good information because they don’t know how to find it.
Additional security without burdening you with a more difficult login process.
Improved speed!

One of the things I have noticed with the premium video lessons is that some of them have many thousands of views, while others have less than a few hundred. Some of the least watched lessons are some of the most important, so I have to do a better job of making things available and easy to find, and that is my goal.

Security is another thing that we want to try and improve. Hackers are growing like a wildfire that can’t be stopped. We literally get thousands of hacking attempts per day. Many on the back end of our server, and most directly at our website. They are relentless and never ending and banning the IP addresses has become a full-time job.

We are leaning heavily towards using Cloudflare as a security gateway, although that is not a done deal just yet. If we go that route, you may notice a Cloudflare challenge when you first enter our website address. If you see that at some point in the near future, don’t panic, it’s normal and part of security. If we decide to do anything different that might affect you, we will update you down the road.

I am excited about these changes as they are overdue and something I have been putting off for a while now due to the lack of time to devote to things. It is far past time to make these changes, so I am working on it, and I hope our users find it a positive for them as well.
