Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and I look forward to getting back to our regular schedule now. Note that I will be doing my normal thing today and tomorrow, but unfortunately, I will be out Wednesday through Friday again this week. As most of you probably already know, I am a huge college football fan, and being a graduate of Ole Mis, I attend most of their games. Ole Miss will be playing in the semi-finals in Arizona on Thursday, so I will be leaving for Arizona on Wednesday, and returning on Friday, so will miss those three days this week. Because of this, I will only be in the office today and tomorrow and will be back for our regular schedule again on Monday January 12th.
It appears that the market mostly only corrected while I was away, so the ES has yet to make a new high on a retest attempt. Maybe today will be that day, as the market is rallying strongly so far this morning. Note that the higher regular session opening has left a large gap on the chart, and should prices attempt to fill that gap today, that target is way down at 6900.50. For now, the trend and bias are both up, so stay with that until the chart shows us otherwise.
We will make the best of it today and tomorrow and I will try and catch up on things as best possible before I leave again on Wednesday. Good trades to all and good luck on a prosperous 2026!
