I just got notice that margins doubled from $400 to $800 in the ES with our group broker. Be sure to stay on top of your margins, as that could take you out of a good trade if you are not aware and over leverage a trade. The last time this happened, many were caught off guard, so I thought I would send this reminder, so no one gets surprised this time. Different brokers charge different amounts, so make sure you know what your broker’s margins are and if they are increased.

Who is our group broker? I thought we just use NT. They are $500 currently.

If you are new to NT after 2015, then your broker is NT and different from our group broker. NT changed their rules a few years back, so new traders have no other option than to use the NT broker. Older traders that bought in before 2015 can use any broker they choose though.
